In keeping with district practices to respond to COVID-19, we are notifying all students, staff and guests that an individual who visited the Seadrift School gym on 01/25/21 has tested positive for COVID-19. Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the name of the individual or any identifying details. CCISD maintenance is sanitizing and e-misting all impacted areas.
CCISD has reached out to any student or staff members who had “close contact” with the individual. Students in quarantine will remote into their Google-Classrooms for virtual instruction, daily.
CCISD offers curbside COVID testing for students and staff. For more information, please visit www.calcoisd.org.
A new Education Task Force has been created to provide guidance for schools in cases such as these. The Bexar County Region 8 public health authority will conduct an investigation by making contact with the individual and any “close contacts”. “Close Contact” is defined as direct exposure to infectious secretions such as being coughed on or being within 6 ft of an infectious person for over 15 continuous minutes. Region 8 phone calls will have a (210) area code. We will keep you apprised of further updates.
