Calhoun County ISD notified about positive cases
Posted on 06/09/2020

Calhoun County ISD has been notified that two guests who attended the Calhoun High School graduation ceremony on May 29 have tested positive for COVID-19. The symptoms were noticed shortly after their attendance. The guests were seated with black tickets on the home side near the scoreboard.

All district employees and students are instructed to continue to follow CDC guidelines and recommendations and to practice social distancing. The maintenance department will continue to aggressively sanitize and powerwash the stadium with medical-grade cleansers.

Based on the information that we have gathered, it has been determined that the end of the 14-day incubation period for anyone possibly exposed to the guests at the stadium is Friday, June 12th.

Out of an abundance of caution, we advise you to monitor your health, follow the CDC guidelines for people who have had close contact and contact your primary care physician if you develop symptoms.

CCISD is continuing to monitor this situation and will provide additional information as needed. The district extends wishes for a successful recovery to those impacted and continued good health for all members of our community.
