Happy birthday Coach Benefield
Congratulations to the Calhoun JV boys Gold team for winning 1st place in the Calhoun JV Tournament at Riverside Golf Course. The team consisted of: Cole Spicak, Cooper Oliver, Ethan Rodriguez, AJ Olascuga, Heston Lovett. Ethan Rodriguez brought home 4th place individual and Heston Lovett brought home 3rd place individual.
CHS Sandcrabs - the next Class Wars contest will be Trivia!! Starting Monday you will see QR codes in the cafeteria. The QR code will link to a trivia question. You have until 8 am the following day to submit your answer. Late responses will not be counted. Round 1 of trivia will have 8 questions and will be printed on YELLOW paper. Be on the lookout for them.
Big news! Calhoun High is headed to New York City in Summer 2024! Mrs. Garcia will be holding a parent meeting for families to learn more information on January 24th at 6:00pm. Please visit her classroom in W104 to receive information on how to attend!”
Student Council is hosting a game night tomorrow night in the CHS Cafeteria. Please join us in playing board games, cupcake walk, karaoke, cornhole, ping pong, and just hanging out! Snacks will be sold. Tickets are on sale now for $5 from any student council member or Mrs. Anderson (W203).
Student Council will be hosting another Blood Drive on Wednesday, January 25th. If you are 16 or older and would like to donate blood to save lives and work toward your red cord for graduation, please sign up for a time that is NOT DURING YOUR MAP TEST PERIOD and put your teacher's name in the notes section using the QR code on the posters in the hall or on Google Classroom. If you are 16, you must have a signed permission slip. Please see Mrs. Anderson (W203) if you have any questions or need a permission slip.
Tip for the day –If using a ladder, it should be positioned on a flat surface before use. Be sure that the tools you are using are specifically designed for this purpose and are in good condition before starting work.
