Attention all Freshmen, Sophomores, & Juniors: CHS will be hosting a Course Fair on Tuesday, February 7th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the CHS cafeteria. Come by and check out the classes, extracurricular clubs, and sports that will be available to you next year. Registration for next year will start in a couple of weeks. Make sure that you stop by the Course Fair, so that you know what your choices are.
The Sandies Soccer team played Bay City on Saturday and took their first district loss. On Tuesday at 5:30 the Sandies will host Wharton Tigers in their home opener and would appreciate your support.
The trivia questions have had few responses, but the junior and seniors are tied. Scan the QR codes on the yellow pages in the cafeteria, and answer the question. All correct answers are counted. Freshman you have the highest total score thanks to the food drive, participate! Seniors, are you going to let the juniors win the trivia war?
Seniors, do not forget the following scholarship application deadlines:
Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo-January 31st by 7:59 pm, Guadalupe Blanco River Authority January 31st by 11:59 pm and TDECU scholarship deadline is 2-7-23. These are all online applications.
This Thursday is Groundhog Day. Let's support groundhog Punxsutawney Phil and his shadow search. Don't have a groundhog? Wear your hedgehogs or hogs or favorite animal; dog, cat, goat, bat maybe even Sandcrab to show support. Teachers feel free to wear your JEANS!!!
Seniors: Please go to your Class of 23 Google Classroom to nominate your Senior Class Favorites. We will use these on your Senior Day on May 19th to decorate. Your input is greatly appreciated. Nominations end February 3rd.
Attention juniors and seniors! Mrs. Jones has uploaded a survey to Google Classroom regarding prom. Please take a moment to fill it out if you plan on attending.
Tip for the day –Never leave candles burning if you go out or go to sleep and keep your candles away from pets and kids.
