Happy birthday Mrs. Kristin Spencer and Mrs. Cecilia Alford
Tomorrow is Camo day! We ask that the entire school wear camouflage to honor our senior McCoy Wagner as he heals from his injuries and our former student Hunter Hadley as his family’s search continues. We will also be passing out hunter orange ribbons to symbolize hope, support and love for all of those effected by the recent events. Make sure you wear your camo tomorrow and find a student council member to get your ribbon to show your support. You can also get a ribbon from Mrs. Anderson or Coach Spencer.
Attention all Freshmen, Sophomores, & Juniors: CHS will be hosting a Course Fair on Tuesday, February 7th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the CHS cafeteria. Come by and check out the classes, extracurricular clubs, and sports that will be available to you next year. Registration for next year will start in a couple of weeks. Make sure that you stop by the Course Fair, so that you know what your choices are.
Seniors, do not forget the following scholarship application deadlines: Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo-today by 7:59 pm, Guadalupe Blanco River Authority today by 11:59 pm and TDECU scholarship deadline is 2-7-23. These are all online applications.
This Thursday is Groundhog Day. Let's support groundhog Punxsutawney Phil and his shadow search. Don't have a groundhog? Wear your hedgehogs or hogs or favorite animal; dog, cat, goat, bat maybe even a Sandcrab to show support. Teachers feel free to wear your JEANS!!!
Seniors: Please go to your Class of 23 Google Classroom to nominate your Senior Class Favorites. We will use these on your Senior Day on May 19th to decorate. Your input is greatly appreciated. Nominations end February 3rd.
Tip for the day –Change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors periodically. Make sure to check the alarms after the new batteries have been installed.
