The varsity competed in the Wharton invitational as well as the Rockport invitational the last two weeks. Notable results are as followed! -Wharton Varsity Zaydic Cardenas and Kadyn Saldivar finished 2nd falling to Angleton in the finals Ashley Anderson &Celeste Kwi finished 3rd defeating Angleton! -Rockport Varsity Troy Sonsel & Peter Nice made a quarterfinal finish losing to a tough Orange Grove team. Ashley Anderson & Celeste Kwi made a quarterfinal finish losing to Rockport. Zaydic Cardenas & Kadyn Saldivar made a quarterfinal finish losing to a very tough Rockport team.
Congratulations to Calhoun Sandies as they had a clean sweep over Beeville. JV won 12-4 and varsity won 16-2
The Calhoun Sandcrabs obtained their ninth district victory defeating Palacios HS 6 to 0. John Moreno scored 3 goals, Ta Moo, Pietro Tremari, and Mynt Naing scored 1 goal each for a total of 6 goals. Congratulations SANDCRABS!
Spring fling week starts March 6, here are the themes: Monday-Inside out day-turn your favorite outfit inside out. Tuesday-mismatch day-grab your plaids and polka dots mix and match all your prints, Wednesday-animal day-wear your favorite animal printer (tiger print or a print with an animal, crab, flamingo, etc. Thursday is beach day-wear your Hawaiian print, sorts, bright colors or favorite happy shirts.
Seniors! Student Council is already working to plan your Senior Day. One of the traditions is to put together a slide show of your baby/toddler pictures. Please email a copy of your picture along with your name to [email protected] by March 31st. We want to make sure that everyone is included in the slideshow. Check Google Classroom for this information.
Hey, Sandcrabs! Would you like to take a once in a lifetime trip to Germany, Austria & Switzerland next year? There will be a meeting at 6:00pm this Thursday, March 2, in room E403. All questions will be answered at the meeting. Parents, students, and staff are welcome. Please see Mrs. Reininger in room E403 in order to register for the meeting. Registration is mandatory, so don’t wait! Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Signed permission forms are due TODAY in the CHS counseling office for the March 28th field trip to the Victoria College Lyceum’s Lecture Series featuring actor and mental health advocate Sean Astin.
Just a reminder, the last day for attendance make up hours is March 4th.
Seniors, the last day to submit a quote for your yearbook is this Friday.
Please keep buying bracelets to support Hunter, McCoy and Jacob. Bracelets will no longer be sold after Wednesday, March 8th. See Mrs. Anderson or Coach Spencer to purchase.
Seniors, there are only 6 ½ more school days left to pick up scholarship packets from the front office. Do not wait until the last minute to get your packets, work on your FAFSA or request your transcript from Mrs. Hermes. Time is ticking.
Seniors-check your google classroom for upcoming scholarship deadlines. Do not let them pass you by.
Tip for the day –When traveling for spring break, keep it light and avoid packing anything that could potentially be a target for theft.
