Junior and Senior girls, today is the last day to sign up for the Women in Industry event. You will get to hear from women who are leaders in their fields and have a great catered lunch. Signup using the link in your Google Classroom.
Do you like helping people? You can earn hours this summer as a Junior Volunteer at MMC. Applications can be picked up at the counselor’s office or at the MMC Volunteer desk between the hours of 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. Applications must be returned by May 19th at the counselor’s office or to the MMC Volunteer desk.
Student Council will be hosting the last Blood Drive of the year on Tuesday, April 4th. If you are 16 or older and would like to donate, please sign up using the QR code on the posters in the hall or flyer attached in your Google Classroom, or see Mrs. Anderson in W203. Signed parent permission slips are required if you are 16. Please see Mrs. Anderson if you need a copy.
There will be a mandatory parent meeting today at 5:30 in CHS cafeteria for any student who wishes to try out for Sandettes? Practice will be Monday March 27-FRiday March 31 from 4:30-6 in gym 1. Tryouts will then be on Saturday April 1 from 8-?
Calhoun Theatre Department performed their One Act Play at Bi-District and was selected to advance to Area. Several students also received individual awards.
All-Star Crew- Alexa Zamora, Honorable Mention Cast- Willow Chandler, All-Star Cast- Javon Vela, and Best Performer- David Woodward. Congrats to our Calhoun Theatre Department on this amazing achievement!
Congrats to our Sandies softball team on a great Tuesday. The JV team came up short in the last inning losing 2-0 against Sinton in a hard fought game. Our Varsity team beat Sinton 3-0 making them 4-0 in district play.
Seniors, Next Tuesday, March 28th, you will be called down to the cafeteria at 9:30 am to meet with a representative from the Victoria Health Department. This quick meeting will give you an opportunity to sign your consent form for the ImmTrac Immunization Registry. You are required to sign your own consent form after your 18th birthday. Please listen for the announcement to release seniors next Tuesday, March 28th around 9:30 am.
The Rotary Club speech contest will be held this Thursday at 5:30 in room E407. See Ms. Cline for more information.
Tip for the day –During spring, wear non-slip shoes to prevent slipping on wet floors.
