All new Victoria College dual credit students need to report to the GO Center today sometime between 9 and 1 to complete their dual credit application if they have not already done so.
Seniors, Mrs. McCarthy-Vesely added a scholarship to your google classroom before spring break and she added it again today. She will extend the deadline to apply for that scholarship until Monday at noon. It is Lavaca Lodge Masonic #36 and the criteria is Use Common application, and open to any senior who will go into vocational/technical school, this could include mechanic, welding, beauty, cosmetology, instrumentation, electrical, process technology, etc.
Seniors, please check your Class of 23 Google Classroom for Senior Day Information. Under Classwork, there is a Senior Day Topic where we will be adding information that you will need to know.
Do you like helping people? You can earn hours this summer as a Junior Volunteer at MMC. Applications can be picked up at the counselor’s office or at the MMC Volunteer desk between the hours of 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. Applications must be returned by May 19th at the counselor’s office or to the MMC Volunteer desk.
Student Council will be hosting the last Blood Drive of the year on Tuesday, April 4th. If you are 16 or older and would like to donate, please sign up using the QR code on the posters in the hall or flyer attached in your Google Classroom, or see Mrs. Anderson in W203. Signed parent permission slips are required if you are 16. Please see Mrs. Anderson if you need a copy.
Seniors, Next Tuesday, March 28th, you will be called down to the cafeteria at 9:30 am to meet with a representative from the Victoria Health Department. This quick meeting will give you an opportunity to sign your consent form for the ImmTrac Immunization Registry. You are required to sign your own consent form after your 18th birthday. Please listen for the announcement to release seniors next Tuesday, March 28th around 9:30 am.
Tip for the day –During spring, check the air pressure in your tires frequently. Temperature fluctuations in the spring can mess with the balance of all 4 tires and increase your chances of an accident.
