Students, we NEED your registration paperwork, technology, chromebook and discipline forms turned in as soon as possible. It is very very important that this is turned into the front office. We are steadily sending out new packets to students who still have not turned theirs if from the first week of school. Get this paperwork in!! Teachers, please get this paperwork to me as soon as possible every day.
The JV Gold traveled to La Vernia to take on the Bears and came home with a 22 to 15 loss. The Sandcrabs struggled in the first half giving up 14 points to the bears while being held scoreless. The sandcrabs took the opening drive of the 2nd half down the field with Rueben Lu scoring from 3 yard out and Guilherme Lueenroth (Luevenhoch) kicking the extra point, Guilherme also had a touchdown saving tackle in the first half. Reuben Lu had a 22 yard score and a 2 point conversion to put the sandcrabs up 15 to 14 with 4 minutes left. The defense struggled to stop the bears and gave up a score with 48 seconds left to go down 22 to 15. The sandcrabs took the ball down to the 25 with 20 seconds left in the game and missed on 4 passes to the end zone.
The Freshmen Black Football Team defeated the La Vernia Bears 41-20 last night in La Vernia. Congrats on the win, GO SANDCRABS!!!
The following people need to meet by the office doors right after the announcements: Demetrio Rodriguez, Bo Vickery, Jai'Lynn Boots, Ezra Pena, Brody O'Donnell, Brandon Guevara, McKenlie Frankson, Kylee Gray, Dylan Hill, Cooper Oliver, Natalie Carver, Lillyan Gossett, Courtland Curlee, Athyn Morales, Andrea Hataway, and Monique Bargas.
Calhoun Esports Rocket League, Dominic Garcia, Laith Moore, and Andrew Aguirre beat Uvalde Esports 4-2 in a best of 7. They are now 1-0 on the season. Calhoun Super Smash Brother Ultimate: Keegan Goode beats Burnet Esports 2-0 and is now 1-0 on the season. Braydan Brown lost a hard fought match vs I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM 0-2 and is 0-1 on the season. Owen Mitchell won, by forfeit, vs Quitman Esports and is now 1-0 on the season.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Your words matter. You never know what someone might be going through. Never be their reason why. Hurt people, hurt people. Stand UP to bullying.
The 2024 Yearbook is on sale now for $68. After October 20th, the price will go up. Order online using the QR Codes on posters throughout the school or see Mrs. Sontag in A109 for an order form.
Juniors - it's time to vote for your favorite design to be put on your Class of 2025 shirts. Please check your google classroom to see the options. Voting will end today at 4pm.
Calhoun sports medicine pink shirts are in. Get them while we got them. $20 for short sleeve, $25 for long sleeve. Only got 500, when they are gone they are gone. See your student athletic trainer.
The Student Council will be having TIE DYE DAY!!!! Sign up today to show your support for Cancer Research & make a Tie Dye shirt to wear during Cancer Awareness Week!!! Go to your "Class of" Google Classroom for more information. October 9th is the last day to pay.
