Happy birthday Lacey Kirchner Saturday

The Freshmen Black Football Team defeated the Pleasanton Eagles 47-14 last night at Sandcrab Stadium! QB Ashton Sternadel, Fullback Gunner Martinez and Slotback Gavin Reyes all had multiple TD’s and Outside Linebacker JoJo Baldera had a 50 yard Interception return for the final TD. The Boys are 6-1 on the season and 2-0 in district and will play the Beeville Trojans next Thursday in Beeville at 5PM. Come out and support our boys! GO SANDCRABS!!!!

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Cross Country Team for Winning the District 30-4A Championship. Leading the way for the Sandcrabs in the 3-mile run was Senior John Moreno who medaled and placed 3rd overall. Following John was 5th Place and medaled Colten Evans, 9th Place and medaled, Dylan Hill 13th Place Linkyn Garza-Doolin, 19th Place  Anthony Ybarra, 29th Place Diago Medina and 35th Place Rocky Ybarra Jr.  In the Varsity Girls 2 mile race, Delilah Dowell led the way with a 12th place finish overall. Following Delilah was Fehrle Rodriguez, Eva Sanchez, Claire Flores. Ava Manning, Sarah Armbruster and Doreen Luo.  In the Boys JV Race, Cristofer Pina led the way with a 1st place finish. Following Cristofer was 5th Place and medaled Leo Garza, 10th Place and medaled Samuel Cruz, 12th Place  Avon Garza, 13th Place Damien Mendez, 14th Place Eli Falcon and 16th Place  Jo Jo Baldera.  In the Girls JV Race, Andrea Henriquez led the way with a 9th place finish overall and receiving a medal. Following Andrea was Rike Weber, Naw Paw Doh, Esperanza Martinez, Merin Cortez and Lilly Gibson.  The Varsity Boys will be moving on to the Regional Finals in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 24. In addition, congratulations to the rest of the team for a successful cross country season.  

Student Council is creating a wall of honor to celebrate family, friends and staff that have fought or are still fighting cancer. Please check your google classrooms to fill out the form so that your loved ones can be included. 

Pink T-shirts will be for sale during all lunches on Monday and Tuesday. Last chance, $20 for short sleeve, $25 for Long sleeve. Cash or check only.
 
Calhoun! Next week is Cancer Awareness & Fair Week. We only have 2 days of school to honor those who have battled cancer! On Monday, show your support by wearing the color assigned to YOUR class. Freshmen, wear YELLOW. Sophomores, wear LIME GREEN. Juniors, wear PURPLE and Seniors, wear your ORANGE!  On Tuesday, everyone wears Tie Dye to show support for all cancer victims and survivors!

Students, Get your registration paperwork in now, if you do not have it, come to the front office for a new copy.

The 2024 Yearbook is on sale now for $68. After October 20th, the price will go up. Order online using the QR Codes on posters throughout the school or see Mrs. Sontag in A109 for an order form. 

Tip for the day –Dress in clothes and shoes that will not hamper your movement when going out in case of emergency.

Homeroom teachers, please check the Tutorial Spreadsheet at this time and send students to their teachers.
