This is a reminder that there should be no phones and airpods in the hallways during or between classes. The only time that they are allowed is during your lunch period.

This past Saturday our Sandcrab Band participated in the UIL Region Marching Contest in Beeville.  The band was awarded a 1st division and is moving on to the UIL Area Contest in Calallen this weekend.  Congratulations & WAY TO GO BAND!!

In the Boys JV District Race Armando Perez Finished in 20th Place, Viet Nguyen  finished in 21st Place and Mason Rodriguez Finished in 23rd Place.  Congratulations to these individuals for a great cross country season. 

Teachers, please wait until after announcements to send students to tutorials?  Also, students need to go to their assigned homeroom first for attendance so they are not counted absent.

Last Thursday the JV Gold defeated the Pleasanton Eagles 28 to 6. Guilherme Lueenroth (Luevenhoch) opened the game with a pooch kick recovered by Porfillio Hernandez recovering the ball. Billy Woody led scorers with a 6 yard and 1 yard score. Jaiden Farrow followed with a 67 yard touchdown run and 101 yards rushing. Reuben Lu ended the night with a 29 yard score and led the defense with 12 tackles and a caused fumble. Brice Nichols had 7 tackles with 2 for a loss. Gilbert Baldera had a tackle for a loss and a fumble recovery. The defense held steady with a goal-line stance and an interception by Caleb Camacho ended the night with a 31 yard interception return. The sandcrabs travel to Beeville next week to take on the trojans.

Student Council is creating a wall of honor to celebrate family, friends and staff that have fought or are still fighting cancer. Please check your google classrooms to fill out the form so that your loved ones can be included. 

Pink T-shirts will be for sale during all lunches today and tomorrow. Last chance, $20 for short sleeve, $25 for Long sleeve. Cash or check only.
 
Calhoun! Next week is Cancer Awareness & Fair Week. We only have 2 days of school to honor those who have battled cancer! On Monday, show your support by wearing the color assigned to YOUR class. Freshmen, wear YELLOW. Sophomores, wear LIME GREEN. Juniors, wear PURPLE and Seniors, wear your ORANGE!  On Tuesday, everyone wears Tie Dye to show support for all cancer victims and survivors!

Students, Get your registration paperwork in now, if you do not have it, come to the front office for a new copy.

The 2024 Yearbook is on sale now for $68. After Friday, the price will go up. Order online using the QR Codes on posters throughout the school or see Mrs. Sontag in A109 for an order form. 

Tip for the day –Be alert and aware of your surroundings at all times.  Avoid wearing headsets that impair your ability to detect and respond to potentially dangerous situations.

Homeroom teachers, please check the Tutorial Spreadsheet at this time and send students to their teachers.
