Happy birthday Kristin Spencer and Cecilia Alford

Seniors, scholarships will be opening soon.  Listen for announcements about when and where to get the information.  You should hear something by Monday, February 5th.  This is for all local scholarships.  In the meantime, you will need to have your FAFSA completed so get a head start on that, if you have not already done so.  Also, sign up with Mrs. Hermes in the counselors office for your official transcript.

If you are interested in competing in Number Sense, Calculator, and or Mathematics at the Flour Bluff UIL Meet on February 10th,  please come by Mr. Rubac’s rm A108 in the annex and sign up for the events that you want to compete in at the meet.  Entries are due by this Friday.

The Calhoun Sandcrabs obtained their third District victory of the season.  They defeated Wharton HS 10 to 1 at their stadium. John Moreno scored a hat trick, 3 goals, Guillerme Leuenroth and Hser Say scored 2 goals, Cesar Aguilar, Max Bilal and Mario Vargas scored 1 goal each for a total of 10 goals. Congratulations SANDCRABS!

The Sandies Played Wharton to a 3 to 3 tie and a 3 to 2 loss on penalty kicks. Alondra Jimenez finished the night with a goal and 2 assists, Claire Flores and Isabella Escobedo had a goal each and Bianca Rodrigues finished with an assist. Mileidy Anzaldua and Daisey Guerrero had a goal each during the penalty kicks. The Sandies return home Friday to play Palacios.

The Jostens representative will be on campus today to deliver caps, gowns and announcements.  This will be the last time that you will be able to order graduation items at school.  He will be here during all three lunches.

Don’t forget to make up your attendance hours as soon as you can.  You can stay for after school detention or go to Saturday School from 8am-2pm.  There are only 6 more Saturday schools for this semester.

Juniors and Seniors - Be sure to work on Texas College Bridge during Homeroom until you have this completed.

Recognition ads in the yearbook are due no later than February 8th. See Mrs. Sontag in room A109 if you need information for recognition ads.

Tip for the day – If you are working late, let someone know where you are and how long you expect to be; or better yet, plan in advance to have a co-worker stay with you.

Students-at this time, check your email.

Teachers, please check the ISS Spreadsheet and add work for your students.  Homeroom teachers, please check the Tutorial Spreadsheet at this time and send students to their teachers.

Have a great day and remember to Be Kind! Be Smart! and Be Safe!
