Happy birthday Susan Tippit and Ray Lara

We will be having a Saturday school session on February 19th.  If you owe hours for attendance, this is an extra day to make up those hours.  8am -2pm in the library.

Seniors, don’t wait until the last minute!! Scholarship information is ready in the front office.  Please go by and see Mrs. McCarthy-Vesely between classes, homeroom, during lunch or right after school until 4 pm.  She will explain the scholarship process and the packets that you will pick up.  Another reminder: Only students can pick up the packets.

The Sandies hosted Columbus on Friday night and had a 1 to 0 loss. Mileidy Anzaldua finished the night with 8 steals, Dulce Morales had 4 steals and Ashlyn Maldonado, Bianca Rodriguez and Alondra Jiminez finished the night with 4 steals each. The Sandies travel to Halletsville on Tuesday to take on the Lady Brahmas.

Congratulations to the JV Boys Soccer Team on a victory over Bay City 1-0 Saturday Morning. David Varela scored the lone goal and Goalie Dravyn Garza made a vital block on a penalty kick to ensure the victory and shutout.

The Calhoun Sandcrabs obtained their sixth victory of the season and remain undefeated in district. They won against Columbus HS 7 to 0. Guillerme Leuenroth scored 3 goals, Mario Vargas scored 2 goals, John Moreno and David Castillo scored 1 goal each for a total of 7 goals. Congratulations SANDCRABS!

On Friday, the Debate team competed for UIL District. Congratulations to Mason Rodriguez and Allie Chiu for being the first alternate to UIL state for CX/Policy debate!

Today is Anti-Valentine's Day, we hope you wore all black. Tomorrow is Teddy Bear Tuesday, wear your PJ's and bring your stuffed animal. Make sure you look for the voting jugs in the cafeteria for our first ever Queen & King of Hearts. All proceeds will go toward the American Heart Association.

Tip for the day – Record serial numbers, brand names and descriptions of property or valuables that you have in your home.  Keep duplicate copies of this information and a photo of the items at another location.  It can be used later to recover stolen property.

Students-at this time, check your email.

Teachers, please check the ISS Spreadsheet and add work for your students.  Homeroom teachers, please check the Tutorial Spreadsheet at this time and send students to their teachers.

Have a great day and remember to Be Kind! Be Smart! and Be Safe!
