Happy birthday Roger Saenz
Yesterday was Ro-Sham-Bo day! Our Ro-Sham-Bo Master was Andy Rico. Tomorrow is Dynamic Duo Day! Dress like a dynamic duo like Peanut Butter & Jelly or maybe Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift. Make sure you look for the voting jugs in the cafeteria for our first ever Queen & King of Hearts. All proceeds will go toward the American Heart Association. Today is the last day to vote!
On Saturday, CHS speech and debate students attended the Flour Bluff UIL Academic tournament. Mason Rodriguez placed 2nd in UIL Informative speaking and Alice Chiu placed 2nd in Prose interpretation. In other Debate news, Allie Chiu and Mason Rodriguez have qualified to compete in the UIL CX Debate tournament in Austin over Spring break! Congratulations on all of your hard work
Student Council is hosting their 2nd annual Game Night in the cafeteria on February 23rd from 7-11pm. There will be board games, ping pong, spike ball, karaoke, etc. Tickets are on sale now for $5 with Mrs. Anderson (E206) or any student council member. The $5 will be returned to use for concessions when you show up to play games with your friends!
We will be having a Saturday school session on February 19th. If you owe hours for attendance, this is an extra day to make up those hours. 8am -2pm in the library. Also do not forget the Saturday school scheduled for February 16th.
Seniors, don’t wait until the last minute!! Scholarship information is ready in the front office. Please go by and see Mrs. McCarthy-Vesely between classes, homeroom, during lunch or right after school until 4 pm. She will explain the scholarship process and the packets that you will pick up. Another reminder: Only students can pick up the packets.
Tip for the day – Do not give out your electronic serial number or even your phone number to strangers, including callers who represent themselves as technicians testing your line.
