Seniors-this is a reminder that the following scholarships are due soon: Catholic Life (State), Texas Farm Bureau online, and Victoria Electric Coop Online are due 3-1-24. The Catholic Life State scholarship-you are responsible for mailing it the them yourself-do not turn it in to Mrs. McCarthy-Vesely. The Jackson Electric scholarship application is due to Mrs. McCarthy Vesely by 3-4-24 so that she can get it mailed in time for them to receive it by the due date.
Calhoun Varsity Sandcrabs beat Sealy 7-2 on Thursday. Calhoun opened the scoring in the top of the 5th inning thanks to six hits in the inning to grab a 7-0 lead. Jaxon Ondreas led the team in hits with a triple and a single, while Julian Cazares had 2 stolen bases. Alex Parker added 2 RBI’s. Cayden Herren was the winning pitcher. He gave up 0 runs in five innings while striking out 7 Sealy batters. Ethen Ramirez came in the last inning and closed out the the game as he earned a save for the Sandcrabs.

Student Council is hosting their 2nd annual Game Night in the cafeteria tonight from 7-11pm. There will be board games, ping pong, spike ball, karaoke, etc. Tickets are on sale now for $5 with Mrs. Anderson (E206) or any student council member. The $5 will be returned to use for concessions when you show up to play games with your friends!
Do not forget the Saturday school scheduled for February 23th. Only two more Saturdays to make up attendance hours for 1st semester.
Tip for the day If you go out with other friends, don’t get separated; watch out for each other.
