Congrats to Sandies Varsity & JV softball team for Sweeping Beeville in there first district game.
Our Sandies girls basketball team concluded the year with several district honors for our accomplishments this season. Kendyl Acosta, Monique Bargass, Trinity Morgan, Gabby Munoz, Kaylee Nevarez, Gina Villegas, Espi Martinez, Annelisse Delgado, Fehrie Rodriquez, and Jai'Lynnn Boots received Academic All-District Honors. Ja'Lynn Boots received District - Honorable Mention , Kendyk Acosta received 2nd team All District. Monique Bargas received 1st All District. Trinity Morgan received Newcomer/ 1st Team All District - Great job ladies for all your hard work this season.
The Calhoun Sandcrabs defeated Palacios HS 9 to 0 at their stadium and remain undefeated. Guillerme Leuenroth scored 3 goals, Cesar Aguilar, Rogelio Jimenez, Ta Moo, George Segura, David Salazar, and David Castillo scored 1 goal each for a total of 9 goals. Congratulations SANDCRABS!
The Calhoun Sandcrab Varsity Baseball team earn the victory last night over Bay City 8–1. Trenton Taylor earned the pitching victory by going 5 innings giving up 0 runs on 1 hit while striking out 6 Bay City batters. Demetrio Rodriguez and Cayson Laredo each pitched well in relief. The Sandcrabs were led offensively by Cayden Herren who went 2 for 2 on the night with 2 RBIs.
Seniors-this is a reminder that the following scholarships are due soon: Catholic Life (State), Texas Farm Bureau online, and Victoria Electric Coop Online are due 3-1-24. The Jackson Electric scholarship application is due to Mrs. McCarthy Vesely by 3-4-24 so that she can get it mailed in time for them to receive it by the due date.
March 6 marks 50 days left of school. Celebrate by wearing your tie dye attire.
Seniors, you have less than 2 weeks to pick up scholarship packets, do not wait until the last minute.
Do not forget that the last scheduled Saturday to make up hours for first semester is March 1st.
