Happy Birthday Mrs. Wang

Seniors, listen up!!!  We have three new local scholarships. Two are  open to any senior.  The name of one is Lavaca River Shootout Foundation for $1,000.00.  You will Use the CHS Common Application.  The other scholarship is the Hunter Hadley’s Quest Scholarship-you will need to come by and get their application for that one.  Also, Bethany Senior Living is open to any art, drama or journalism degree.  (See google classroom for full information on all of them).  The deadline on them will be Thursday, April 4th by homeroom.

The Sandrcrab soccer won 3-2 in a nervewracking match in overtime and are Area Champions.  Congrats and good luck in the next round.

Good morning, CHS! Students, would you like to take a trip to Austin and learn more about our state's government on Friday, April 12th? We will tour our beautiful state capitol building, attend a State Board of Education meeting, eat at the Capitol Grill, watch an IMAX movie about the ocean, watch the background video on the Labelle, and visit the Bob Bullock Museum. For more information, please see Mrs. Reininger in room E403. You may also email her at [email protected].

Juniors and Seniors: As of today you have 3 days left to finish Texas College Bridge and earn STAAR late in.  Please remember that you need to write and submit your essay in Texas College Bridge English.  This is required in order to be fully complete.  Your English teacher can help with this!

Seniors--Student Council would like to include you in the Senior Day Baby Slideshow.  Be sure to send a baby picture or toddler picture to [email protected] by April 5th.  This information is also in your Google Classroom.

This week is Child Abuse Awareness Week. Here are the dress up days: Wednesday, April 3: Wake up to Child Abuse–Pajama Day, Thursday, April 4: Stand together against Child Abuse–Twin, Friday, April 5: Go BLUE day–Wear as much blue as you can.

Good news!!  Yearbook pre-orders have reopened until April 5th.  If you would like to guarantee your copy of the yearbook, see Mrs. Sontag in room A109 for an order form.

Tip for the day-While driving, assume other motorists will do something crazy and always be prepared to avoid it.

Students-at this time, check your email.

Teachers, please check the ISS Spreadsheet and add work for your students.  Homeroom teachers, please check the Tutorial Spreadsheet at this time and send students to their teachers.

Have a great day and remember to Be Kind! Be Smart! and Be Safe!
