Seniors, go vote now for senior favorites on Google classroom class of 2024.
We will be having a Saturday School tomorrow so that you can start making up attendance hours for the 2nd semester of this school year. It will be from 8am-2pm.
Student Council is hosting our LAST blood drive of the year on Monday, April 22. Please help us save lives by signing up to donate if you are 16 or older. If you are 16, you must get a permission slip signed by your parents each time you donate. You can sign up to donate and print a permission slip on your Google Classroom or see Mrs. Anderson in E206.
Boys District Track Results The JV boys are district champions with a total point score of 248 points. The JV Boys had a total of 11 District Champions. District Champions for events are:
1. Jaiden Farrow - 110 Meter Hurdles,
2. Jayce Sanchez - 100 Meter Dash
3. 4 by 200 Meter Relay with the team of (Jayce Sanchez, Porfirio Hernandez, Gregory Huang and Kameron Myers)
4. Dylan Hill - 1600 Meter Run
5. Gregory Huang - 300 Meter Hurdles
6. Kameron Myers - 200 Meter Dash
7. Linkyn Doolin Garza - 3200 Meter Run
8. 4 by 400 Meter Relay with the team of (Cesar Aguilar, Gunner Evans, Gregory Huang and Leo Garza)
9. Reuben Lu - Shot Put
10. Dane Spencer - Discus
11. Cesar Aguilar - Triple Jump
Varsity District Track Results Varsity Boys Placed 3rd Overall with 88 Points, There were a total of 9 Area Qualifiers, The 4 by 200 Meter team consisting of Marquise Farrow, Holten Hadley, Travis Strakos and Izaiah Cabreles were District Champions, The Area Qualifiers are:
1. Rocky Ybarra - 110 Meter Hurdles
2. David Varela - 100 Meter Dash
3. 4 by 200 Meter Relay with the team of (Marquise Farrow, Holten Hadley, Travis Strakos and Izaiah Cabreles)
4. John Moreno - 1600 Meter Run
5. 4 by 100 Meter Relay with the team of (David Varela, Izaiah Cabreles, Travis Strakos and Marquise Farrow)
6. Colten Evans - 3200 Meter Run
7. Izaiah Cabreles - Triple Jump
8. Coltyn Judd - Shot put and Discus
9. Holten Hadley - High Jump
It's almost time for Prom. Prom tickets will go on sale starting Monday, April 8 during all 3 lunches. The cost for tickets are $25 each. They will be on sale also on Thursday, April 11th & Friday, April 12th during lunches and resume the following week. CHS Seniors will not have to pay for their tickets, they are free but if you bring an outside date you will have to pay for that ticket. Due to STAAR testing they will not be on sale every day but you can stop in to Mrs. Gossett's office to get one. Everyone must have a ticket to enter into Prom. If you have a date who does not attend our school, you must fill out a Guest Permission Form & it will need to be turned into the front office for approval. Any questions regarding tickets or sales, get with Mrs. Gossett.
STAAR testing dates are English 1-April 9th, English 2-April 10th, Biology-April 16th, US History-April 18th and Algebra-April 23rd.
The team from SSR Letter Jackets will be on campus on Tuesday, April 9th from 11:45 – 1:10 at the Calhoun High School Main Gym to measure for letter jackets, and to take up order forms and payments. All directions on how to order your jacket are in your packet. Please pick up a packet from your coach, director or sponsor if you have not already done so.
Seniors--Student Council would like to include you in the Senior Day Baby Slideshow. Be sure to send a baby picture or toddler picture to [email protected] by today. This information is also in your Google Classroom.
Tip for the day-Practice safety while driving, secure cargo that may move around while the vehicle is in motion.
