Parent Rights SB 12 Amends Section 26.006 (Access to Teaching Materials) A parent of a student enrolled in the district or school is entitled to review the materials described by Subsection (a)(1) [all teaching materials, instructional materials, and other teaching aids used in the classroom of the parent's child, including while the child is participating in virtual or remote learning] and may request that the district or school make the materials available for review as provided by this section.

GIFTED AND TALENTED STUDENT REFERRAL:

Please see your campus counselor for information regarding the Calhoun County ISD referral process for the Gifted/Talented (G/T) Program.
We are committed to providing challenging learning experiences for students with exceptional intellectual and creative thinking abilities. 

Anyone desiring to refer a Calhoun County ISD student, kindergarten through twelfth grade, may request the referral form at any campus office during the open referral period. Referral forms must be returned to the student’s school counselor by the end of the school day of the last specified day.
