Calhoun County ISD campuses have scheduled safety drills this school year to practice lock-down procedures and other security measures. The drills will not involve loud noises or any type of intruder simulation. Some campuses may take the opportunity to test their emergency notification systems, but it would be clear that it is just a test for the drill. 
 
We are sharing the following drill schedule with parents, so we can ensure our students understand that the scheduled safety drill is just for practice so that everyone is better prepared in the case of a real emergency. 
 
 HJM Elementary – 11/18/25 and 3/12/26
 Hope/DAEP – 10/8/25 and 3/4/26
 JR Elementary – 10/8/25 and 2/23/26
 POC School – 10/9/25 (updated) and 3/12/26
 Seadrift School – 10/10/25 and 3/10/26
 Travis Middle School – 10/20/25 and 2/20/26
 Calhoun High School - TBD
 
In the event of a real emergency, Calhoun County ISD will utilize the Parent Square  notification system to communicate with parents via phone call, text message and email.
